So, I'm joining the rest of the world... I'm exposing myself to the world around me, and I will now blog outside the box. I was stuck in a comfortable rut, for some time... now I must get my wheels back on the road and make up for lost time.
Besides, my narcissistic cravings were not being gratified elsewhere, so I figure it may help to be where blogs become searchable by Google.
So, I have been enthralled by listening to Bob Dylan lately.
This isn't my normal sort of musical obsession, either... this is a complete and utter awe of his words. The man is just incredible.
Don't get me wrong, he had his moments of complete and absolute nonsense, but most of his songs were fantastic.
And I have noticed on the few albums I have, that the majority of his 'popular' songs, were some of the most unimpressive songs on the album.
It just reminds me of when I was a little kid, and my sisters and I would hide my dad's Dylan cassettes running and screaming, "YUCK!!!! Bob Dylan! Gross!". My dad chuckling, and telling us one day we'd like him... that one day we'd appreciate his music.
Well, it took 20 years... but he was right.
I know I can bring myself to write beautiful things, but not like this... and surely not this many.
